Odisha Police launched the “Student Police Cadet” (SPC) Scheme across the state on 24th January,2019.

• Shri Asit Kumar Tripathy, Development Commissioner cum ACS Home Deptt, inaugurated the Scheme at Capital High School, Bhubaneswar in presence of Senior Officers and dignitaries.


• The Scheme is a two year Programme meant for Students of 8th and 9th class with strength of 44 students in each School including 50% girl Students.


• The Student Police Cadet Scheme would help the Students better appreciate the role, constraints and arduous nature of Police Work in addition to educating them about disciplines, team spirit and sense of responsibility.
