Odisha police Sports and Games teams and many sports persons have secured medals and brought laurels by participating in different All India Police/National Championships. The details of achievements are as follows.

  • Havildar Bishnu Srestha of 2nd IR Bn., Rayagada secured Bronze Medal in Gymnastic event in 4th All India Police Judo Cluster, 2019 held at I.G. Stadium, New Delhi
    w.e.f. 3rd to 7th January, 2020.

  • Constable Barsha Nath of OISF, Bhubaneswar secured Bronze Medal in Wushu event in 4th All India Police Judo Cluster, 2019 held at I.G. Stadium, New Delhi
    w.e.f. 3rd to 7th January,2020.

  • Constable Tapaswini Patel of Sambalpur district secured Bronze Medal in Wushu event in 4th All India Police Judo Cluster, 2019 held at I.G. Stadium, New Delhi
    w.e.f. 3rd to 7th January, 2020.

  • Visty Debashis Mallick of OSAP 2nd (SS) Bn., Keonjhar won Bronze Medal in Wushu event in 4th All India Police Judo Cluster, 2019 held at I.G. Stadium, New Delhi
    w.e.f. 3rd to 7th January, 2020.

  • LNK/253 Jitan Kumar Pradhan of OSAP 4th Bn., Rourkela secured Bronze medal in Carbine practice IV prone position in 20th All India Police Shooting (AIPDM) Competition-2019 held at Dehri-on-Sone, Bihar from 10th to 15th February, 2020.

  • Havildar/ Bishnu Kunwar of OSAP 2nd Bn., Jharsuguda secured Bronze medal in Rifle 200 yards kneeling position in 20th All India Police Shooting (AIPDM) Competition-2019 held at Dehri-on-Sone, Bihar from 10th to 15th February, 2020.

  • Odisha Police Shooting Team has awarded with “Overall Champion” among states and “3rd Position in Revolver in All India Level” in the 20th All India Police Shooting (AIPDM) Competition-2019 held at Dehri-on-Sone, Bihar from 10th to 15th February, 2020.

  • Odisha Police Pipe Band Team secured Bronze Medal in 20th All India Police Band Competition - 2019 held at Railway Sports Complex ground, Secunderabad, Telengana from 19th to 23rd February, 2020.

  • LNK/ Bighnaraj Miridia of OSAP 6th Bn., Cuttack secured Bronze medal in 400 mtrs run in 68thAll India Police Athletics Championship-2019 held at Panchkula (Haryana) from 3rd to 7th March, 2020.

  • Constable/344 Ashok Dandsena of 8thSpl. IR Bn., Bhanjanagar (now continuing practice at Reliance Foundation Odisha Athletics High Performance Centre, Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar) had represented Indian Police Cross Country team in the 55th National Cross Country Championship held at Chandigarh on 21.02.2021.

  • Shri Bernard Lakra, Coach and 03 players namely Roshan Bahala, Bikash Barla and Bijay Lakra of Odisha Police had been selected to represent Indian Police Team to participate in 9th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship – 2019 which was held at Chennai from 7th to 20th January, 2020.

  • Odisha Police Women Football team qualified from Odisha and participated in the Hero Indian Women’s League (IWL), 2020 held at Bengaluru (Karnataka) from 24th Jan to 14th February, 2020.

  • Odisha Police Hockey Team (Men) has secured Bronze Medal in the 67th All India Police Hockey Championship – 2019 held at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar from 16.12.2019 to 24.12.2019.

  • Odisha Police organised 3rd All India Police Judo Cluster – 2018 at Cuttack from 15.11.2018 to 19.11.2018 successfully. There were 31 State Police Forces including Central Police Forces with 1134 participants participated in this mega Cluster.

  • Odisha Police organised 67th All India Police Hockey Championship – 2019 at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar from 16.12.2019 to 24.12.2019 successfully. There were 25 State Police Forces including Central Police Forces with 500 participants participated in this Championship.

  • Total 92 Meritorious Sportspersons have been appointed in Odisha Police under Meritorious Sports persons quota till date as per Govt. Notification No. 2539/Home Dt.03.02.2015 and No.16934/Home Dt. 26.05.2015.
